Back Stage Pass Chapter.8 Goal Setting and Planning. Chapter 8 is extremely important and here is how I would like you to start thinking about it. I want you to start thinking about your goals as if you have already accomplished them. The RSL Planner has been set up for this purpose and I recommend you to go the lawyer Greg.com website and get it. 1- If you are using a legal pad then write down your global goals. 2- Write down your top 5 goals you want to accomplish. 3- Put them down in the present tense, such as: “I have opened a McIntyre Law Firm in every city of over 30’000 people in the USA.” “I have a consulting firm that makes over ten million dollars a year.” “I am a best selling author of multiple books.” 4- Then in your daily targets, write them down once in the morning and once at night before you go to bed. In the morning I want you to write down what you are going to do that day. (I’m not talking about your hour by hour agenda), I’m talking of 6 important things you want to accomplish that day. These will be clearly directed towards (it could be monotonous things to do in the office) helping to chip away at accomplishing that bigger (present tense) goal. Shaping and crafting your global goals, I want you to consider using a technique I call ‘Backing Out Your Goals.” Do this with a friend, your spouse, buddy, co-worker, business partner but someone you trust. So here it is: 1-?Think of a goal you want to accomplish. 2-?Sit down across a table from your partner and talk to them about that future goal as if you have already accomplished it. 3-?Have them play along as devils advocate but make it real, as real as you can. 4-?Be as detailed as possible. It sounds simple but record this as you do it and transcribe it. This be your road map to that goal. You can place timelines on each section of the goal and you will find that ideas you never thought of before with regards to that goal, will suddenly come bursting into view. This is like magic once you get into it. #RockStarLawyer #LawyerGreg
