Happy LGBTQ+ Pride Month!

The Lead With Your Brand Podcast is celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month in June. We're not just celebrating the LGBTQ+ community; we're amplifying it with an incredible lineup of guests who are leading with their brands and truly embodying the spirit of their uniqueness and excellence. Along with new episodes will check out our "LGBTQ+ Pride on Brand" collection of top episodes with some of the best leaders from the past four seasons, all identifying as members of the LGBTQ+ community. Visit LeadWithYourBrand.com/pride

This week, Jayzen answers the question he gets at nearly every presentation…”what is your best career advice?” Quite simply, as he tells people all of the time, “find a hole and fill it!” That is, look out on your career universe and spot the potholes in the road that need to be filled. What needs exist in your company or industry and how can you meet them? How can you make the road smoother for yourself, your boss and your colleagues and turn them into success? Tune in to hear Jayzen’s best advice.

Jayzen is thrilled to welcome Tay & Val to the show. After both having careers in media and production, Tay & Val embarked on a two-and-a-half-year bike tour that took them across three continents and twelve countries simply to ask people one question, “what is your dream?” Armed with the inspiration to build their dream, they went on to found Modern Mind Labs, a global practice to create and implement wellness-based, EDI-informed, and culture-coherent leadership and team development initiatives.

So, as we celebrate Pride Month, let's create, support, and thrive in workplaces that truly value each and every one of us. Here's to a month—and a lifetime—of pride, progress, and power!

Guest Bio

Tay & Val

Co-Founders, MODERN MIND LABS

Tay & Val are business and life partners who co-founded MODERN MIND LABS: a global practice that supports companies like Amazon, Booking.com, VMLY&R, and many more around the world, to create and implement wellness-based, EDI-informed, and culture-coherent leadership and team development initiatives.

Known for facilitating powerful and inclusive learning experiences, Tay & Val teach in an accessible and approachable manner - through science and storytelling; and make sure that everything you learn can be applied #IRL (in-real-life). To date, more than 100,000 people across diverse communities have experienced their work. Tay & Val are two-time TEDx speakers and have presented at international conferences such as Out & Equal Summit, Women In Cloud Summit, Seattle Interactive Conference, and more.

As lifelong practitioners with 12,000+ (and counting!) hours in their meditation practice, Tay & Val are seasoned certified teachers with the globally sought-after Search Inside Yourself Global (SIYG) for mindfulness-based emotional intelligence and leadership training. Through their partnership with SIYLI, they’ve facilitated programs for audiences in the Americas, Asia, Middle-East, and Europe.

Fiercely committed to realizing the fullest potential of people and organizations — especially those in underrepresented and underestimated communities — Tay & Val completed the train-the-trainer program for Neurology of Equity & Inclusion At Work so they can bring the lens of EDI to all the work they do.

Fun Fact: In 2010, Tay and Val set off to travel the world by bicycle to ask as many people as possible one question: “What is your dream?” This project brought them across three continents, twelve countries, and fifty-five cities. In three years, they spoke to diverse communities of all identities; and collected tens and thousands of dreams, hopes and aspirations.
