It did well at the box-office and was the eleventh highest-grossing movie of 1998. The film's music was one of the best-selling albums of that year. The songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam and Udit Narayan. This film also marked the debut of Namrata Shirodkar.
