While you are listening to the story - Try to answer these 3 questions;

  1. Why did the Bear need help?
  2. Who attacked Taro?
  3. What is the moral of the story?

--Story Below --
Once upon a time, in a small village in Japan, there was a young boy named Taro who loved to go on adventures in the forest. One day, he stumbled upon a bear and was initially frightened, but soon learned that the bear was trying to communicate with him. The bear told Taro that it was lost and needed help finding its way back home, so Taro offered to assist.

During their journey, Taro learned that the bear was a tanuki and had a family waiting for it. After finding the bear's home, Taro was invited to stay for a meal and was promised that he would not be harmed. Taro agreed and they became close friends, with the bear always there to help whenever Taro needed it.

However, one day while Taro was picking berries, he was attacked by a pack of wolves. Just as the wolves were about to pounce, the bear appeared and fought off the pack, saving Taro's life. But in the end, the bear was fatally wounded and Taro was left to mourn its loss. Taro realized that trust was not only valuable but also came with a great cost, as the bear had given its life to protect him.

From that day on, Taro lived his life valuing the power of friends and cherishing the memories of his dear friend, the bear. The moral of the story is that friendship is a valuable commodity that should be cherished and respected, even if it comes with a great cost.
