In this first podcast of 2015, we are reviewing episodes from the original series, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, including the comparison to the GoLion counterpart. Returning to the podcast as guest co-host is Dan Jolley. Marc and Dan review episodes 17-20.

Here are the titles for these episodes:

Episode 17

  • GoLion: Challenge from Space
  • Voltron: My Brother is a Robeast

Episode 18

  • GoLion: Footsteps in the Forest of Fear
  • Voltron: Zarkon is Dying

Episode 19

  • GoLion: The Mystery of Ghost Castle
  • Voltron: The Buried Castle

Episode 20

  • GoLion: Goodbye, Earth
  • Voltron: Pidge's Home Planet

In these epsiodes, we meet Princess Romelle and Prince Bandor for the first time, Lotor has to go to Arus to get some medicine for a very ill Zarkon, Haggar tries to hijack the Voltron Force to Planet Doom in a castle, and Pidge's Home Planet is brutally attacked by Zarkon's forces in an effort to defeat the Voltron Force.

For those of you who have listened to the previous Let's Voltron episodes Dan Jolley has been a part of, you'll know Dan was a principal writer for the video game, Dying Light. Dying Light is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression - but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.

Dying Light can be purchased on 3 different video game platforms:

  1. PC

  2. XBOX One

  3. PlayStation 4

If you do buy it and enjoy the game, please let Dan know. He would love to hear your feedback. You can find Dan Jolley on Twitter @_DanJolley
