People can praise you to the grave Life has hidden costs. Calculate the cost of doing vs the cost of not doing. For example, it is not what the the book cost, but how much it cost not reading it. It is not the cost of going to the gym, but how much it cost not going to the gym. It is not the cost of fixing something, but how much it cost not fixing it or not fixing it the right way. We calculate the cost of attending a seminar, a workshop, a dinner meeting or a network session but does not calculate the cost of not attending such meeting. There hidden cost of life is both the cost it self and the reward. It is the missed opportunity itself and the opportunity it self . In every opportunity there is a hidden thing: the benefit of the opportunity in tangibles and the benefit of the opportunity in intangibles. Often we fix our eyes on the tangibles, but miss the lessons of the intangibles. The later is how we measure an opportunity. The intangibles are the transfarables, the redoubles, the things no one can take from you and the lessons no book and no school can teach you. For example, there are ideas you may have had for years, sometimes the whole decade but you did not act on them. You did not act Ont hem becuase you felt the idea was too small to wa rant your attention or you did not have the technical skills to act on it. Or something else. If you had acted on it, you have have had it go one of the two ways: South or north (good or bad, successful or fail. If it failed/ you’d have learned what not to do next time, what to do better, when to launch, how to prepare, how to sell the idea, how to network your idea, how to hire (if it elated to that), how to work hard, how to pay attention. Some of these lessons can’t be learnt from a class, you may need to reinvent the wheel using available screws and rubber. You would have learned to be a better person inside or have actually a better, bold, clear thinking persons The opposite would be the idea worked so good it changed your whole life and opened even more opportunities.
