On one day Jesus meets 5 possible disciples. -John (the author of Gospel of John) -Andrew (the optimism) -Simon Peter (the flawed leader) -Philip (the truth-teller) -Nathaniel (Bartholomew) (the honest, passionate guy) -Nathanael’s honesty 'catches fire' …And it catches God’s attention and 1. Nathanael and Philip loved the Word of God and all its promises for them John 1:43-45 (NIV) The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.” Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 2. Nathanael’s honest cry (and Philip’s honest call to seek Jesus) John 1:46 (NIV) “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip. 3. The fire of honesty and searching caught Jesus’ attention John 1:47-48 (NIV) When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” 4. Fire!!! John 1:49 (NIV) Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” 5. The sudden fire in Nathanael caused a prophetic vision from Jesus’ lips John 1:50-51 (NIV) Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that. He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.” (The last sentence is plural - “YOU ALL will see and experience …”) -Jesus referring to Jacob’s experience in Genesis 28:12 Genesis 28:12 (NKJV) Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Difference is: 1. Promise to Jacob was singular. To disciples was all inclusive! 2. Promise to Jacob - ladder is on the earth. To disciples, ladder is on Jesus! 正直さ、熱い心 神様のために（情熱をもって）炎をキャッチすると、人々はあなたが燃える姿を見に来る。-ジョン・ウェズリー 1ヨハネ1:7 (ALIVE訳) しかし、神がいつも光の中にあるように、あなたも光の中を歩め！そうすれば、お互いと、すべての闇から解き放たれ、イエスとの友好関係を存分に楽しむことができる。そして神の一人子イエスが流してくれた血によって過ちは赦される！ 1日でイエスは弟子になる可能性を持った5人に出会う ヨハネ(ヨハネの福音書の著者) アンデレ(楽観主義) シモン・ペテロ(不完全なリーダー) ピリポ(真実を語る) ナタナエル(バルトロマイ)(正直で情熱的な人) ナタナエルの正直さが「火をつけた」。そして、神様の目に留まる… 1. ナタナエルとピリポは神様のことばを愛し、そこに記されていた自分たちへの約束が大好きだった ヨハネ1:43-45 (ALIVE訳） 翌日――彼らにガリラヤ地方へ進んでほしいと願うアンデレ。それをよそにピリポに出会ったイエス――あ、ピリポ！「俺について来い！」ピリポはアンデレとペテロと同じく、ベツサイダ村出身だ。つい今しがたイエスに会ったばかりのピリポもすぐにナタナエルを探し当てると――「聞いてくれ！掟の書物に書かれていた方を見つけたんだ！！代々の預言者たちだって記してきたあの方だ！！！丘の上のナザレ村のヨセフの子、イエスってんだ！！！」 2. ナタナエルの正直な嘆き（とピリポのイエスを求める正直な選択） ヨハネ1:46 (ALIVE訳） 「ナザレ村？はッ笑わせるなピリポ！ナザレ村ごときからそんな者が現れる訳ない」「会えば分かる！」 3. 正直さの火と求める思いがイエスの目に留まった ヨハネ1:47-48 (ALIVE訳） イエスは自分のもとへ向かってくるナタナエルを見て口を開いた――「彼は信頼に値する正真正銘のイスラエル人だ」――【旧約聖書で、イスラエルの元の名前はヤコブであり、その意味は“嘘・偽り”であり、ヤコブに例えられたのだ。 聖書：創世記27：35-36より引用 】「と言っても私のことを知らないじゃあないですか」「ピリポが話しをするよりも前に、イチジクの木の下にいるのを見たさ！」 4. ファイヤー！！！ ヨハネ1:49 (ALIVE訳) 「先生！あなたこそ神の一人子、イスラエルの王です！！！」 5. ナタナエルの突然の火が、イエスの口から預言的なビジョンを引き起こした ヨハネ1:50-51 (ALIVE訳) 「おいおい、イチジクの木の下にいるのを見たと言っただけで信じるのか？これからあなたが見るものは、こんなもんじゃあないぞ！今から俺が言うこと、それは真実だ――おまえたちはみな、天の窓が開きこの人の上を“天使が行き交う”――【聖書：創世記28:12より引用】光景を目の当たりにする！！！」――【聖書：創世記28:10-17より引用】 最後の「おまえたちはみな」は、複数形 みんなが見て、目の当たりにする イエスは創世記28:12にあるヤコブの体験を話していた 創世記28:12 (JCB) その晩のことで Read rest of the notes 続きを読む https://osaka.mylifehouse.com/tv/message/honest-heart-fire-heart
