(5) After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. (12) When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. (13) “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. (14) Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. (1コリント 13:4-7 ALIVE訳）愛はきわめて辛抱強く、親切。 愛は決してねたまず、自慢をせず、見下さない。 愛はうぬぼれず、自分の利益を求めず、短気にならない。 愛は自分のやり方を押し通そうとはせず、いらいらすることも無ければ、腹を立てることも無い。 人に恨みをいだかず、被害者意識をもたない。過ちを喜ばず、真理を喜ぶ。 愛は人に見切りをつけることがない。 愛はどんな時も希望を捨てず、あきらめず、最善を信じる。 (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT) Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud (5) or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. (6) It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. (7) Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. (1ペテロ4:8 ALIVE訳)何よりも互いへの深い愛を持て。この愛によって多くの欠点や過ちを赦す心の豊かさを与えられるからだ。 (1 Peter 4:8 NLT) Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 2.愛は、内側から流れ出る Love Overflows From Within (ヨハネ13:14-15 JCB)その、主でも先生でもあるわたしが足を洗ってあげたのですから、あなたがたも互いに足を洗い合いなさい。(15)わたしは模範を示したのです。わたしがしたとおりに、あなたがたもしなさい。 (John 13:14-15 NIV) Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. (15) I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. (ヨハネ 7:37-38 JCB)祭りの最後の一番大切な日に、イエスは大声で群衆に語りかけました。「だれでも、渇いているなら、わたしのところへ来て飲みなさい。(38)わたしを信じれば、心の奥底からいのちの水の川が流れ出ると、聖書に語られているとおりです。」 (John 7:37-38 CSB) On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. (38) The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him. (ヨハネ3:16-17 ALIVE訳)実に神は、一人子さえ惜しまず与えるほどに、世の人間を愛してくれた。 つまり、神の一人子を信じる者が、だれ一人滅びず、永遠の命を得るためだ。 神が一人子を遣わしたのは、この世を裁くためではなく、救うためだ。 (John 3:16-17 NLT) For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (17) God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
