Belarusian Veronica Tsapkala embodies the courage required to lead change in the most challenging of circumstances. Fearing political persecution in Belarus after her husband Valery Tsepkalo was denied registration in the 2020 Belarus Presidential election by President Lukashenko, Veronica was forced to flee her country. She has since become a passionate voice for democracy in Belarus. In our conversation, Veronica shares her vision for her homeland while calling each of us to be vocal in standing up for the principles and the freedom we can so easily take for granted.
