What you measure you can manage, but what are the strategies for monitoring and reducing your power usage this winter?
Whole House Monitoring
- Smart meter fitted by electricity company.
- Shelly EM (itβs bi-directional).
- Bi-directional is important in case you have generation sources.
- Be a little sceptical of devices that promise too much from one source, for example saying they can monitor all devices in your home from one place.
Per Circuit
- Install an Emporia Vue or similar in your consumer unit
Per Device
- Use plugs to measure Individual devices.
