SF Giants Swept by Yankees as Camilo Doval Falters in Finale

The San Francisco Giants could've really used a win in their series finale against the Yankees, and it looked like they were going to do so. But Camilo Doval, who isn't having his best season to date, blew a two-run ninth-inning lead. It's the third time in the last couple of weeks that the Giants have blown multiple-run ninth-inning leads, which is certainly cause for concern.

Something else that's cause for concern is losing Blake Snell to the same injury that sent him to the IL for more than a month. Snell exited Sunday's start and could miss a similar amount of time this go around.

The SF Giants' overall numbers and performance 60 games into the season are evaluated. The Giants have a disappointing 29-31 record, but they're still in the thick of things and have dealt with an uncommon number of injuries. One positive: Michael Conforto, who was one of the Giants' best hitters early this year, returns to the lineup tonight in Arizona.
