Although they couldn't complete the sweep, the San Francisco Giants won another series, this time against the team that came into town with the best record in baseball. The Giants started out the season slowly, but they're playing great baseball as of late. Tuesday's 1-0 win was particularly impressive for the Giants, as they outdueled one of the best pitchers in baseball, Zack Wheeler, in a bullpen game.

Two SF Giants players who aren't playing their best baseball right now are Jorge Soler and Marco Luciano. Soler has struggled with the bat essentially all season after signing a three-year deal in the winter. Luciano was removed from Wednesday's game after making another poor play at shortstop and Brett Wisely, who continues to hit and has impressed defensively, seems to have passed Luciano on the depth chart. It was later revealed that Luciano exited the game with hamstring tightness, so the banged-up Giants may have to make another move, likely to call up infielder Casey Schmitt from Triple-A.
