After scoring seventeen runs in their last two games, the Miami Marlins were shut out by the Texas Rangers, 7-0 at Loan Depot Park in Miami.

The Marlins loaded the bases with one out in the ninth inning, but they couldn't push any runs across, and they were shut out for the fifth time this season.

Michael Lorenzen pitched 6 1/3 strong innings for the Rangers, allowing just five hits while striking out seven and walking just two hitters, silencing the Marlins' hitters who had scored 17 runs in their last two games.

Ryan Weathers went six innings for the Marlins, striking out a career-high eleven hitters with no walks, but the Rangers were able to get to him for four runs on nine hits to hand him his first loss since May 8th to the Dodgers in LA.

Robbie Grossman had three hits and two RBI's for the Rangers. Wyatt Langford added two hits and two RBI's, and Corey Seager pitched in three hits.

The two teams wrap up this three-game series tomorrow at Loan Depot Park. Trevor Rogers will pitch for Miami against Andrew Heaney for Texas.
