The San Jose Sharks started a new era for the franchise when they selected Macklin Celebrini with the first overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

JD Young of Locked On Sharks joins us to discuss the impact Celebrini will have plus the addition of Sam Dickinson. The Sharks also figure to be active in free agency this week.

Meanwhile the Buffalo Sabres traded back a day early and still landed Konsta Helenius in the first round before selecting Adam Kleber in the second round to add some size to the blue line.

The Calgary Flames were busy at the NHL Draft, making two picks in the first round in Zyne Perekh and Matvei Gridin and then two more picks in the second round.
