The Dallas Stars have traded Restricted Free Agent Forward Ty Dellandrea to the San Jose Sharks for a 2025 4th-round pick this afternoon. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey reacts to the trade and why he believes this was the best move for both sides at this point in time. The Stars have a luxury of forwards in the bottom six, Sam Steel who is also an RFA played in 77 games last season and will be a priority next season along with Radek Faksa, plus the elevation of Mavrik Bourque. Dellandrea now gets the oppurtunity to play everyday in San Jose. We also discuss the possibility of this being a small move in a larger picture, will Dallas move on from Faksa in order to sure up the defense or is this just a one and done situation.
