My guest on the today’s podcast, Pam Acosta, is originally from Chihuahua Mexico. Pam traveled to Arkansas to get her college degree in Journalism, and then returned to her home state. Shortly after returning, she found little work available to her. She made the decision to move to the Riviera Maya, where she could make the most of her excellent English speaking skills.

She did find opportunity in Cancun. Her first job was in a call center, which she remembers as being hard work. She certainly didn’t like it as much as she likes her current position working in social media and tourism. She says digital marketing has closed the gaps that previously existed in the travel sector.

Her job gives her the ability to have many adventures, such as swimming with sea turtles and whale sharks. Pam loves that she is able to explore more of the Riviera Maya as part of her job. Some of her favorite places to visit are the magical towns of Mexico, of which Valladolid is one.

Pam’s Secret Spots:

? Playa Langosta — A nice beach with upgrades planned.

? Xenotes Park — Four amazing cenotes.

? Xcaret Park — A park with underground rivers.
