We learn that Jeff's old town is over 3 hours away as Jack complains to Kevin yet again why he forgot to buy the fasteners. He's been gone for 6 hours, jeez, Jack in that amount of time you could have driven yourself there and hung the gutter back up yourself, I know, he's teaching Kevin about responsibility, but after his long day with Jeff, Kevin learns to appreciate what he has with his father and just says "I love you, dad and walks away. Leaving Jack at a loss for words and confused. I'd like to think that it works out between Jeff and Anne. They seem to have a connection.
