Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

If only leadership development were that easy. Unfortunately, many believe that leadership development is a matter of reading a book, attending a seminar, or following the counsel of a supervisor on an annual review that says you need to be a better communicator and ranks you at a 2.5. All of these with no real guidance before, or after.
Like medicine, prescription before diagnosis is malpractice. That means that before you can start on leadership development, you must first know where you need to develop personally. Anyone who wants to move the needle toward leadership transformation must first experience significant personal transformation. You must know your strengths and gaps before you can begin the development of your leadership skills.
Starting on leadership skills before you have worked on personal development is like thinking you can race in the Indy 500 after just finishing a go-cart with your dad and driving it on the sidewalk for the first time. After all, they both have a steering wheel so should be a similar experience.
Join us on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT as Rich and Maikel discuss the importance of personal development before you start down the path of developing leadership skills.
