My friend Tosha and her twin sister Taryn discuss what it was like to lose their mom. Instead of partying like average college students - they were thrown into taking care of their sick parent. Doing the best they possibly could - while also coping in very different ways. Tosha developed an eating disorder and turned to alcohol. While Taryn had more supportive people around her and tried to cope in healthy ways. Listen as they recount finding out their mother’s sickness, the emotional rollercoaster of her last years on Earth, and what it is truly like to be without a parent. We cried and laughed - it is not all sad - but this is the reality.
***Please check in with yourself if you have lost a parent before listening to this episode.
Also, I am giving you the biggest hug if you have lost someone close to you or if you are taking care of someone currently.
Love you, mean it.
xoxo
