The Isle of Man has now been confirmed as the host for the 2029 International Island Games nearly 40 years since the first ever event was held on Manx shores in 1985

Whilst excitement is expected to build over the next five years, much work remains behind the scenes to make the Island ready to host this major sporting event

So what needs to be done and at what cost? What will happen to make sure the event benefits the Isle of Man for the long term?
