Happy New Years! We’ve taken the last couple of weeks off so it’s time to get back to business. Ralph Schmidt has been on the show several times over the years to talk about classic records, but this is the first time he’s come on to talk about himself, Ultha, his various projects and his brand new band Ropes of Night. Our friendship has spanned a decades so it was pleasure to catch up; the conversation went off into some interesting directions including the Unholy Passion festival that he helps curate, European squats and some of the difficulties of playing in a black metal band in the Left-leaning European environment.

Intro: “Fear Lights the Path Close to our Hearts” – Ultha

Outro: “The Whispers” – Ropes of Night
