Along with Neurosis and Eyehategod, Buzzoven can be considered one of the architects of the style of extreme music that some people will refer to as “sludge.” Back in the early 90’s, it was a novel move to combine the heaviness of Black Sabbath with the intensity of Black Flag creating an unsettling mixture of pure emotion. Buzzoven were one of the more threatening, unpredictable bands of the era and “Sore,” at least in our opinion, is possibly their defining record.

Intro: “Sore”

Outro: “Done”
