Today on midlife Crescendo we are talking with licensed professional therapist, Tricia Thornton, about FEAR. Now fear is defined as an unpleasant, often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. It is absolutely a God Given emotion to help protect us. However, sometimes we have ongoing fear or exaggerated fears because of a traumatic event in our past and this kind of fear can paralyze us and keep up from moving forward in our relationships and our lives. We discuss: 4 types of fear responses Signs to look for that you need to address underlying fear Also how to help ourselves or children in your life work through trauma, truths, lies and triggers. Healing that can come from facing those things. This is the kind of fear we are talking about today. Just an FYI if you have little ears around,Tricia talks about a traumatic death in her childhood. It is not graphic but I wanted to make you aware of it in case you prefer to listen with earphones.
