Daniel Verlooven is BuzziSpace’s global acoustics ambassador. He is based in Antwerp, Belgium at the headquarters where design operations are lead. BuzziSpace is co-located in High Point, North Carolina where new products are made in the U.S. BuzziSpace is relentless in its pursuit of bettering the world through design. It started with acoustics. From there, the mission grew. Driven by an unbounded passion for solving modern design challenges, BuzziSpace continuously re-imagines furnishings to be more functional and more fun. The brand provides new ways of working, living and being sustainable. Buzzispace Lorri Kelley joined BDI as President, effective July 2016. Kelley, a furniture industry leader, will focus on growing and expanding the business while founder Bill Becker continues as Design Director, overseeing product development and focusing his energy on the design vision of the company. Kelley currently serves on the board of directors of WithIt, a not-for-profit home furnishings networking and mentoring group dedicated to the belief that women should play a major role in the growth and future of the home and furnishings industries. Recently named Vice President of Education Chair, she is also the recipient of the WithIt Mentorship Award in 2015. “Lorri has three decades of experience in the furniture industry, including positions with leading manufacturers and retailers, so she understands all sides of the business,” said Becker. “In her most recent position she has demonstrated impressive leadership qualities and a passion for excellence that has allowed her company to experience tremendous growth. This is the expertise BDI needs in order to move the company to the next level.” Kelley adds, "I am excited to have the opportunity to join BDI. This is an amazing organization with a tremendous reputation, and I consistently hear from their retailers that it is one of their favorite business partners. I look forward to working closely with Bill and the entire BDI team. We will continue with the successes they have enjoyed to date, while strengthening the relationships with an exceptional network of retailers." Most recently, Kelley served as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Palliser Furniture where she was responsible for sales, retail and consumer services, retail business development, all marketing initiatives and merchandising. She was also an active participant in logistics, product development and merchandising programs in partnership with the operations, product development and design teams. Previously, Kelley was President and Chief Operating Officer for Home Elements, the 26-store retail division of The Rowe Companies, overseeing the company’s transition from an eight-store platform to a national home furnishings retailer. Eventually, she assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Merchandising for Rowe Furniture. Kelley’s extensive experience also includes sales for Thomasville Furniture and Bernhardt, beginning her career with Pennsylvania House Furniture.
