Do you ever have one of those days, weeks, or months where the mornings greet you like a weight on the chest? How do we explain that when we have promises like "joy comes in the morning"(Psalm 30:5). Joy is supposed to mark us as followers of Christ, a joy that is supernatural because it exists even in the midst of difficult circumstances. This week has been a weighty week for me. I've been waking up feeling down, but the Lord has me fighting, fighting, fighting for joy. This lesson is so important and I know He has me in this season to learn it well (among other things!). Let me share a sweet story of an old book that I love, too...something God hand-picked for me when I was 15 years old and reminded me of this week in the midst of my joy-fight.

His plans and purposes for you cannot and will not fail!!

Key Verse: Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart. Ephesians 1:11b, The Passion Translation
