On this episode of “On the Shoulders of Giants- Talking Old Timers with Thomas Steenburg”, Thomas and Julie sit down with Dustin Severs to talk about his new book “The Abominable Snowman of California: Giant Footprints, Wooden Stompers, and the Making of an American Legend”. The book tells the story of some of the more colorful and sometimes hilarious characters, such as Dahinden, Green, Titmus, Krantz, Byrne and Bindernagel, considered to be the “original bigfoot hunters” and the legacy they left behind. Tune in to find out more about how it all began, who the key players were and what secrets are disclosed in his book! Dustin moved to Oregon from the Midwest in spring of 2016. He met the Bluff Creek Project guys and has been working with them ever since. He began writing the book in the fall of 2017 and self-published in the fall of 2023. He is currently working on a follow-up book, which focuses on the Patterson-Gimlin Film., which to this day is still the source of much debate. He hopes to release that book in the fall of 2024.
