Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun in the New York area? Let's dive into the surf zone forecast for the week!
Starting off with Kings (Brooklyn), we've got some moderate rip current risk today with surf heights ranging from 3 to 4 feet. Expect partly sunny skies, a high UV index, and temperatures in the mid-80s. Winds will be shifting from northeast to southeast throughout the day.
Moving on to Southern Queens, similar conditions with a moderate rip current risk, 3 to 4 feet surf heights, and lower 80s temperatures. Keep an eye out for those southeast winds in the afternoon.
Heading over to Southern Nassau, the surf heights remain at 3 to 4 feet with a moderate rip current risk. You can enjoy lower 80s temperatures under mostly cloudy skies. Don't forget your sunscreen with that high UV index!
In Southwestern Suffolk, expect surf heights of 3 to 4 feet with a moderate rip current risk and upper 70s temperatures. The surf zones might see some fog, so be cautious.
And lastly, in Southeastern Suffolk, you'll find moderate rip current risks, 3 to 4 feet surf heights, and upper 70s temperatures. Watch out for a low chance of thunderstorms today.
Remember to always swim near a lifeguard, have a flotation device handy, and stay safe in the surf zone. And if you get caught in a rip current, relax and float!
So get out there, catch some waves, and enjoy the beautiful beaches of New York! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
