“Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” -Nehemiah 8:10 I noticed this week that my calendar said “Easter Monday (CAN)“ on Monday. This made me wonder about “Easter Monday”. I found that in Canada it is a national holiday (schools and government offices closed) and there are other countries that observe this as well. The day is also called “Bright Monday” and is the first day of “Bright Week”. This is perfect for us at Morello Hills! As we exit Easter Week and Sunday we are considering how to shine the light of our faith in our world/our community. Our focus is on reflecting God’s character to those around us. This week our theme is JOY. The Bible tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. How can we find joy even when our circumstances are challenging?
