“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.” -Matthew 5:9 If I could change my name and choose another last name I think I would go with “Peacemaker”. I actually don’t recall knowing anyone with that as a last name, but a quick search revealed it as fairly common! What a great vision this would be for a family. I think it would be helpful to have this built into your name as a reminder of who you are. And, I would think it would be a growing family, because we need more peacemakers! Whether in your actual name or not, you can be a peacemaker. I think we should all add it to our middle name as a reminder of a role we can assume. The world, our communities, our churches, our neighborhoods, our families - all the places we live; need more peacemakers!
