Welcome back to another episode of Mornings with the Monticues! In today's episode, we delve into a thought-provoking devotional centered around the concept of wanting more and being satisfied with what God provides. We explore the biblical story of the manna from heaven in Exodus 16 and discuss the importance of daily dependence on God's provision.

Join us as we share personal stories of how God has provided for us in unexpected ways and reflect on the balance between financial planning and trusting God for our needs. We also touch upon the significance of distinguishing between our wants and needs, understanding that God's blessings may not always align with our immediate desires.

Today’s Bible Verses:

Full Devotional: Exodus 16:1-31

Main Verse: “This is what the Lord has commanded: Everyone is to gather as much as they need. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.” (Exodus 16:16)

Today’s Questions: 1. To some, it may have seemed wise for the Israelites to gather extra manna and save it just in case.

2. What are our daily needs? How is God providing for them? In what ways do we feel dissatisfied with what God has given us?

3. How should we save for retirement? When do we cross the line between relying on our own efforts to provide for the future and trusting God or the government to do that for us?
