Hey everyone, one of my most anticipated movies of summer 2024 - A Quiet Place: Day One - has now hit theaters. This is, of course, the spin-off of the two excellent John Krasinski directed A Quiet Place films that featured the Abbott family. The opening scene of A Quiet Place Part II featured a hint of what DAY ONE was in a small town but this movie fulfills the itch that AMAZING opening scene gave us by showing us Day One in the loudest city in the world: New York. So, does A Quiet Place: Day One live up t its amazing predecessors or is it a disappointing and unnecessary spin-off? Find out in this SPOILER-FREE review! A Quiet Place: Day One: Directed by: Michael Sarnoski Story by: John Krasinski and Michael Sarnoski Based on Characters Created by: Bryan Woods & Scott Beck Produced by: Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, John Krasinski Executive Producers: Vicki Dee Rock, Allyson Seeger Music by: Alexis Grapsas Cinematography by: Pat Scola Edited by: Andrew Mondshein, Gregory Plotkin Casting by: Kharmel Cochrane, Holly Rodman Production Design by: Simon Bowles Costume Design by: Bex Crofton-Atkins Cast: Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou Synopsis: As New York City is invaded by alien creatures who hunt by sound, a woman named Sammy fights to survive.
