The Interview with Police

Police continue to interview and talk with Chris to get any information that he may have about the disappearance; the police do not immediately think of Chris as a suspect. They state that his behavior is strange, but he also is trying to figure out how to process what is happening.

The police ask Chris what he thinks happened to his family, and he says at first he really thought that she left at a friend's house but now, with the police, the interviews, and the K9s, he's starting to think that someone took her but that if someone did take her, it was someone that she knew because there was no sign of anything being broken, or stolen in the house. The police asked him what else do you think we could do to help him find them, and he said he felt like he had exhausted his options and that he was thinking of what friends she could be with and who had car seats because she left hers at the house. He says she could even be with people he doesn't know, male or female, because of her job.

Police ask Chris to rethink his conversation with Shanann that morning about the separation. He tells the police that he feels like he caused this and made him feel like she needed to leave.

The police ask him what happened that morning. He said he wakes up at 4 AM, gets ready for work in the morning, and gets ready for work that morning. At around 4:15 am he wakes up Shanann to talk about some things on his mind. They talked about how he felt about what was going on for the last 6 weeks and how he felt like he wasn't in love with her anymore. He said there was a disconnection in the marriage, and he felt it while they were on vacation.

He said that this was when they both started to cry, which was emotional. He said that Shanann said she understood and did want to work on the relationship, but she understood what he was saying. He said they discussed selling the house and would contact the relator to get an update on their conversation with her last week. He said the conversation ended, and she told him she would take the kids to her friend's house.
