Episode 102: Margaret Fleming
This week Joannagh tells us the story of Margaret Fleming, a vulnerable young woman, believed to have been murdered some time between 18 December 1999 and 5 January 2000.
We hear how the trial for the murder of Margaret Fleming was groundbreaking, as it was featured in a BBC documentary titled ‘Murder Trial’ and was the first time a documentary crew had been permitted access to record the proceedings of a high court murder trial.
Joannagh also tells us of the learning disabilities that made Margaret such a vulnerable person, and how access to her disability benefits may have been a key motive in the crime.
