A big part of a musician’s life is spent travelling, living out of a suitcase for weeks, or sometimes months at a time. Some of them experience packing as a total hassle, while others have elevated it to an artform. Music Meeting would like to know: aside from the essentials like computers, chargers and of course their instruments, what is the one special item that they just can’t leave without?

Music MeetUp is a production by Music Meeting. In this series, you get to know the people behind the music, the stories behind the tracks, the musicians who play at our festival. From Hungary to Brazil, from Ghana to the Netherlands, they give you a peak into their lives as artists and the context in which they create their beautiful music. In their own words and through their experience they tell you about their life on the road, magic encounters, exciting inspirations, culinary delights and more…

Concept, research and direction by Sophie Conin

Production and editing by Jozien Wijkhuijs and Tiemen Hageman

Narrator Lucy Woodward

Music by EABS
