www.NewYorkJetsLife.com***NSFW***The Jets of head coach Todd Bowles showed in Game 2 they were ready-for-prime-time players at Indianapolis. Today they came up big for the late-rising strawberries-and-cream crowd overseas, not to mention the early-morning Wheaties eaters back in the States, with a 27-14 verdict over the Dolphins at London's Wembley Stadium. The win lifts the Jets to a 3-1 start for the first time in five seasons. And since this 12th International Series game was also the first NFL divisional game played in London since 2007, the Green & White also improve to 1-0 in the AFC East while dropping Miami to 1-3 and 0-2 in the division."Through four games, I'm happy," Bowles told reporters after raising his head-coaching record to 5-2 (2-1 as Miami interim HC). "For 16 games, we'll see.""It's going to be a fun flight home," Ryan Fitzpatrick said from the Wembley locker room. "There's a good group in here. We have fun playing together."Nine more observations on the Jets' victory that may well have won them some fans across the pond:

1. So Much for No LongballOn the first play from scrimmage, Ryan Fitzpatrick loaded up and found Marshall deep down the left side, single-covered by CB Brent Grimes, for a 58-yard connection, setting up two Ivory runs to the game's first score. It marked the first time in 18 games the Jets scored on their opening drive. For the game Fitz was an economical 16-for-29 passing for 218 yards and a timely 37 yards on his first six carries before kneeldowns.2. Ivory Gaffs the FishIvory showed no signs of his quadriceps problem as he gashed Miami early and often. He rushed for the Jets' first overseas TD ever to cap the first drive, had 89 yards at the half, then kept rolling in the second half to 166 yards on 29 carries — his career best, the most by a Jet since Thomas Jones set the franchise record with 210 yards vs. Buffalo in 2009, and the most road rushing yards since Adrian Murrell's 199 at Arizona in 1996."I feel good, I feel good," Ivory said. "We started fast today, man, and I think that was real big for us."

3. Brandon CallingMarshall, who said he wanted to make up for his several flubs last week vs. the Eagles, kept it up after the first offensive play and had five receptions for 107 yards at the half. That made him the first Jet with three consecutive 100-yard receiving games since Al Toon late in the 1988 season.

4. Defense pressure on TannehillWhen last the Jets played Ryan Tannehill, they recorded five sacks in the fourth quarter of last season's finale at Miami — their most in any quarter since 1988. They kept the pressure coming, not in huge early sack numbers (three for 31 yards) but in constant presence in the pocket. David Harris had an unblocked blitz sack, giving him 32 for his career, the most by an ILB in the league since 2007. Wilkerson upped his season total to 3.5 sacks with two sacks, including a pressure that forced Tannehill into a backward lateral and a 10-yard loss.

5. The Deck Also RisesEric Decker's knee was strong enough for him to go, and go he did, helping Fitzpatrick and the offense out of a small first-half slump to a good drive conclusion: his 10-yard back-of-the-end-zone TD catch, beating S Walt Aikens with 33 seconds left in the half. The Jets' 20-7 halftime lead was their largest vs. the Dolphins since 2001, and their 282-65 yardage edge was their fifth-largest against any opponent since 1981. For the game the yardage margin was 425-226."I've got to knock off the rust with Deck a little bit. I missed him a few times," Fitzpatrick said. "But he's a great player, especially down in the red zone."

6. Not Miller TimeThe last time the Jets ran into Lamar Miller, he ran away from them for a 97-yard TD run in last year's finale at Miami, the longest run ever against the Jets. Today he got loose for a 13-yard run but still puttered along at 26 yards on seven carries for the day.

7. Stonehenge on Third DownThe Jets defense spread the wealth around in stoning Tannehill and the Dolphins offense, especially on third (0-for-12) and fourth (0-for-4) downs. Combined with the Eagles' 0-for-6 to end last week's game, the Jets D has held opponents to 0-for-their-last-17 on third-down conversions. The last longer streak came in 2010 (0-for-21 over a three-game span).

8. Late TakesOne downward trend for the Jets was after feasting on 10 takeaways in the first two games, they had one against the Eagles and none vs. Miami for the longest time. Instead, the Green & White secondary specialized in pass interference calls — back-to-back against Revis and S Marcus Gilchrist helped the 'Fins to their lone first-half TD.But then The Island struck as Revis snared a Tannehill fourth-down end zone throw for Jarvis Landry with 5:04 to play, giving him five personal takeaways already and ending a stretch of seven plays run by the 'Fins after gaining first-and-goal at the Jets 4. With that and a possible Ivory lost fumble that was overturned by ref Craig Wrolstad on review with 3:20 to go plus Williams' fourth-down theft with 1:44 to play, the deal was sealed in the U.K.

9. Yellow FeverThe only real problem for the Green & White was the yellow — flags, that is. They had seven penalties for 98 yards at the half, and their 163 yards for the game (on 14 penalties) was second-most in franchise history and most on the road. The refs, Bowles said, "made the calls. We've got to play cleaner. ... We were fortunate today." The Jets could be running some gassers this week before the coach lets them go after Tuesday for their bye weekend before gearing it up for Game 5 vs. the Washington Redskins at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 18.
