Getting back to my grunge roots with this one. Had to be a summer theme to start the challenge with. I don't have my full set up to record having recently moved house so it's just me and the iPhone in an off-the-cuff (slightly dodgy can you hear the kids screaming?!) one-take. Sketched this one out in an hour without any edits which is what I was aiming for - no overcooking. I would like to jam this one out with a full band line up of bass and drums etc. What I like about my grunge heroes' style of writing is how the lyrics leave the door open to interpretation - fill in your own gaps etc. Kinda what I was going for with this lyrical 'impression'. I totally have a story but am holding back the details.
