Those that have known me for a time know I have a certain fondness for our town festival - Pepper Fest. It certainly is a special occasion so I tagged it with the week1 challenge. I ordered the porta-potty for our big Thursday night party today which got me excited enough the lyric started flying at me. Nice to have such things to make me smile. Hope it brings a smile your way too. The King and his court did quite well this year The crowds clapped and smiled when they danced near Their year of appearances comes to a close At our favorite festival, everyone knows So bring on the fest that’s simply the best North Hudson’s Pepper Fest Give out a cheer, our friends are all here This fest will beat all the rest A plate of spaghetti with peppers beside Tells eating contestants the heat they’ll imbibe I’ll watch in the stands with a hot dago And yell my encouragement – Don’t eat so slow!
