There are more than a handfull of incredible high school basketball players that have come out of the Los Angeles area. LA is a hotbed for basketball and when you talk about all of the hoopers from that area, there is one name specifically that is ALWAYS mentioned to be among the best of the best. That name is Ricky Price and we are honored to have this opportunity to learn all about his hoops journey.
Price is without question one of the greatest high school basketball players to ever come out of the Los Angeles area. His mid-range game was automatic and his 6'6'' size along with his athleticism was the perfect recipe to be a hooper. The 1994 Player of the Year went on to become a McDonald’s All-American where he was also the Slam Dunk Champion. He was a 4 year player at Duke University and went on to have a successful career overseas. Amazing stories are shared in this one including the high school/AAU Hoops scene in LA, McDonald’s All-American experience, Dunk Contest, Grant Hill, Coach K, battles against UNC, experience overseas, coaching, Game Ready Performance and MUCH more!
It was a such a treat to be able to catch up with Ricky Price today. Every former guest we have had has always spoken very highly of him and after our time with him we can see why. Everything he is doing to give back to the game, the community, and the youth is the ultimate assist so be sure to check out Game Ready Skills and Development Basketball Training if you loved Ricky as much as a we did. We know you’ll enjoy this one!
