Michelle May, MD has discovered that many people, women particularly, struggle with a difficult love-hate relationship with food. Eating can become a way to cope with stress, time pressure, competing priorities, distraction, and caring for others. In addition, in our food-abundant, diet-obsessed culture, eating is often mindless, consuming, and guilt-inducing. During this podcast, we will explore mindful eating: an ancient mindfulness practice with profound modern implications and applications.

We will talk about:

  • Why exercise should never be used as punishment for eating.
  • How to build a self-care buffer zone.
