On March 9th, 2018, the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board held their Annual General Meeting. This year's featured presenter? It was no other than Superintendent of Real Estate, Micheal Noseworthy and Manager of Professional Standards, Maureen Coleman. It's been over a month since the Superintendent of Real Estate announced that the new rule implementation date of March 15th was going to be pushed out to June 15th. So what further information came out at VIREB's AGM last?

RE/MAX of Nanaimo Managing Broker, Ian Thompson, was in attendance at the event. Ian joined me on Facebook Live yesterday afternoon to discuss what his biggest takeaways were from The Superintendent of Real Estate and Maureen Coleman's presentations.

Ian and his family have lived in Nanaimo for almost 30 years, and in that time he has established a track record of providing trusted advice to both his customers and the community at large. In his previous career as the sales manager of Island radio, Ian helped local business owners thrive with results based advertising programs. Now in his 15th year as a realtor, this service continues as he helps customers navigate one of the most significant purchases of their lives. During this time he has also volunteered with many local organizations make Nanaimo a better place for everyone. In his role as Managing Broker, he supports the 115 agents in his office with mentoring, ongoing training and is responsible for creating a positive environment which will help everyone provide outstanding service to their customers.
