Their customs are different from those of all other people, and they do not obey the king’s laws; it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them. If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them....” Esther 3:8-9 ...And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this? Esther 4:14 Our purpose is to allow God to use us for his purpose. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:15-16 Our purpose comes from how we do our job not which job we have. “If a person’s purpose is to be a street sweeper, they should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. They should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did their job well.” Martin Luther King Jr.
