Olympic National Park is one of the United States national parks located in the state of Washington, on the Olympic Peninsula.

  • The park has four basic regions: the Pacific coastline, alpine areas, the west side temperate rainforest and the forests of the drier east side.
  • Within the park there are three distinct ecosystems which are sub-alpine forest and wildflower meadow, temperate forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore.

Average entrance fee per vehicle $30

Motorcycle $25

Over 62 Land animals,

Cougar, Puma concolor
Bobcat, Lynx rufus
Roosevelt elk, Cervus elaphus roosevelti
Black-tailed deer, Odocoileus hemionus columbianus
Mountain goat, Oreamnos americanus

The cold northern Pacific Ocean on the Olympic Coast provides a rich feeding ground for 29 marine mammal species.

Gray whale, Eschrichtius robustus
Minke whale, Balaenoptera acutorostrata
Humpback whale, Megaptera novaeangliae
Harbor porpoise, Phocoena phocoena
Orca or Killer whale, Orcinus orca

About 300 bird species add color and song to the diverse habitats found in Olympic National Park.
