In Texas, despite the U.S. Supreme Court's support for age verification laws, the challenge persists with providers continuing to expose students to inappropriate content. Schools employ "single sign-on" systems that shield student activities from parental view, complicating oversight.
There's also a troubling trend where schools partner with public libraries to share digital resources, enabling them to deny direct responsibility for the content accessed by students.
