For lovers of horror movies, there isn’t much action on the island, if any at all. That is, until director and writer Andreas Avgousti made the decision to honour the genre with the first Cyprus Horror Film Festival, with the long-term goal of raising respect for the genre. In his interview with Culturescope showrunner and host, Paul Lambis, Andreas also discusses his award-winning short film, Petra – a short film about a woman who returns to her family home and witnesses strange events.
