DEATH IN THE COVE is the first in the Inspector Ryga 1950s set mystery series with DEATH IN THE HARBOUR no. 2 and DEATH IN THE NETS no. 3. Ryga is a detective with Scotland Yard's Criminal Investigation Department and because of his background in the Merchant Navy, and his thoughtful analytical approach he is sent out to investigate baffling coastal crimes in an England still in the grip of austerity and rationing following the Second World War. Here the actor Jonathan Rhodes reads two extracts from Chapter One of the audio book of DEATH IN THE COVE.
