Join Dr. Medina, a Los Angeles-based, 4th Generation Mexican-American/Latina Psychologist as she takes us on a journey through her origin story and development into the psychologist she is now. Our conversation highlights a "both, and" type of story of being a multifaceted person--one of both adversity and empowerment, struggle and success, being culturally assimilated and culturally othered, being trained as and identifying as a rigorous research scientist and a warm, energetic therapist. Dr. Medina Daniels translates all of her experiences into her most recent professional endeavor, the Process of Change, a psychology center that combines both science and heart to deliver multiculturally-sensitive, social-equity-informed psychotherapy, public education, and online self-help tools that relate appeal to real people in this modern world. Dr. Medina is particularly in step with the artists, deep-thinkers, creative dreamers, and tenacious doers out there who want to treat their mood/anxiety symptoms or achieve more contribution and vitality in their lives, not in spite of, but in harmony with their racialized experiences, tender pain points, and mixed pasts. If this resonates with you, visit her and her center at https://www.theprocessofchange.com/ and instagram @drjfromla. Dr. Johnna Medina Daniel’s Contact:
