Episode 13: This Episode I will discuss what is the best type of food for your cat or dog. What to look for and a bit of history on the Pet food industry. Q&A time; I'll be answering question, Why does my dog bark obsessively? Plus I reveal an exciting partnership with one of our favorite Rescues!

All the Fluff:
Raw food for cats and dogs as a first option. Include raw meaty bones for dogs.
When shopping for store bought food read the label:
Cats: 52% Crude protein, 46% fat, 2% carbs
Dogs: Grain free, meat as 1st ingredient, veggies as 2nd, carbs at the bottom of the list, vitamins and amino acids
*Do not buy food with Corn, animal bi-products, soy, wheat and fillers
Q&A:
Use a calm, firm voice. Be patient and consistent. Use the phrase quiet and reward when dog isn't barking. Over time the dog will understand. Exercise your dog regularly. Provide toys, chew toys and puzzles. Provide a dog walker/companion and send dog to dog care a couple days a week to aid with anxiety. Block windows, doors and outdoor sights for dogs to reduce barking. Create a sitting/waiting space for your dog when guests enter your home.
