International Women in Engineering Day celebrates the amazing work of female engineers around the world but there is still a clear gender split within the sector, with only around 12 per cent of all engineers in the UK being female. In the latest episode of our podcast series – Perspectives – our group people and culture director, Elizabeth Hardwick-Smith sits down with civil engineer Natalie Clemson to discuss Natalie’s journey from joining us on a sandwich year placement to her recent promotion to national director at the firm. Natalie has worked on some of our biggest and most prominent schemes, including the recently completed redevelopment of one of the UK’s largest independent schools in Macclesfield.
