In this week’s episode of Playful Podcast, we’re meeting with the house music producer, DJ, record label owner and public speaker Terre Thaemlitz, also known as DJ Sprinkles. Sprinkles started her record spinning journey in New York, during the 80’s.

A red thread within Terre’s work as an artist is the ongoing critique and pessimistic view on society’s norms, such as capitalism, gender, sexuality and class for example; something that also comes through within the music she’s making.

In this conversation we speak about her approach to

– Society at wide and teenage years feeling as an alien

– How her approach to society at large took shape

– Her musical journey

– Why house music is named that way

– Social Media OF COURSE

And so much more.

Playful Podcast is available on Spotify, all Podcast Apps and YouTube.
