In our 19th Episode of the podcast, we are excited to discuss the arrival of the newest stars in the tennis world. Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek have capped their exciting groundbreaking seasons by winning the US Open! Alcaraz becomes the youngest ever world number 1 and is the youngest Grandslam champion since Nadal (FO, 2005). Swiatek wins her second Grandslam of the year and 3rd overall. Ons Jabeur and Casper Ruud both show they are deserving finalists for this second time this year. The match of the tournament and perhaps one of the best matches of the past decade was the epic 5-set quarterfinals match between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. We discuss our thoughts on all these matches and players as we wrap up the 2022 US Open.
